Listen Alan, we need to talk...

We have similar last names and even I think this was an awful choice.

One would think that since he laughs at the end of the commercial that this was all just a joke and "Oh Alan, you are hilarious!!" but no. Sephora exclusively carried the line in stores until 2005 and after which he sold "Cumming" on his own website through 2009 when hackers forced him to take the whole site down.

Now let's explore the scent itself:
"It's notes include bergamot, black pepper, scotch pine, whiskey, cigar, heather, douglas fir, rubber, leather, highland mud, burnt rubber, peat fire, white truffle."

Cigars and burnt rubber??!! Seriously, you've got to be f*cking with me!!

How Americans Got it Wrong Again...

If this is actually true, then I don't want to be right. Well, I'll try it once and then go right back to drowning my California rolls in soy sauce.

Some amazlingly hyperrealistic artwork

Flip though this gallery:

The artist, Gregory Thielker's words:

"I use water on the windshield to create a shifting lens for the way we see the environment: it both highlights and obscures our viewing. Perspectives slip and compress, while shapes and colors merge into one another. I also work with relationships between surface and depth, between flatness and illusion. These images are born out of real experience and have a close relationship with the medium of painting: its fluidity, transparency, and capacity for layering, mixing, and blending."

“My most recent paintings and drawings explore the sensation of seeing from a car while driving through the rain. I am fascinated with the constantly changing, yet particular landscapes seen from the car and also the way that the water on the windshield interacts with that landscape.”

A remarkably informative interview

Some Between Two Ferns-style turning of the tables on Mr. Galifianakis.

Your tale, sir, would cure deafness.

Like Shakespeare? Like gender-changing roles? Like awesome costumes? Stellar casting? What about beautiful imagery?

My guess is that this is going to be one fantastic re-imaging.

what'chu talkin' 'bout Willis...

"Did you know that some actors turn down roles?"

I know everyone has probably seen Between Two Ferns, but Zach Galifianakis never ceases to amaze me.

Is it Step Step Kick, Evacuate? Or Kick Step Kick?

In case of an emergency, everyone look at your hands.

Jello? Is it me you're looking for?

Finally, someone figured out a way to add a touch of class to the otherwise plebeian jello shot. I find this blog inspiring for it's creativity and awe-inspiring in their presentation.
Also, an excellent use of a pun. I have and will always appreciate a good pun.

A bitchin' animated short - created with open-source software

I'm a sucker for animated shorts, and Sintel (by Dutch studio The Blender Foundation) is pretty a awesome CGI story on its own.  But it gets even better when you learn that it was created using the company's free, open-source software.  Pretty sweet that it's possible to create something this polished using readily-available tools like that.

(Also - Scales!  NOOOO!)

When the Zombocalypse happens, I'm finding this kid.

He honors his family by showing no fear in the face of the undead. Well done. The girl gets half credit.

Credit to Jax's sister for finding this one.

Sometimes the simplest solution ...

... is the most sophisticated.  To that end, see "10 Movie Posters Inspired by Men's Style".

(Although I'm calling shenanigans on "The Shining" poster, as far as "inspired by men's style" goes.)

24 English Accents

A long video, but truly entertaining the entire time. I have a feeling this kid is not a one hit you tube wonder. Enjoy!
