A Little Bit of Love on a Monday...

A rather beautiful mash up of some of cinema's best bromances:

You gotta love the progression of this piece. Much like any romance, it has is ups and downs. The video starts out with playful glances and laughs, moves on to arguments and fights, and ends with what men do best; They hug it out.

The only glaring abnormality is the fella at the end talking to a wolf. Apparently that's taken from a 60's British cult film Withnail & I about two actors trying to make their way. I'm guessing Martinovicable was trying to tell us that not every budding bromance ends happily, some end as bitter as Hamlet's words.

So, take a broment today and hug the man you love.

Chag Sameach!

We like to get a little Old Testament once and a while.

Happy Passover to all!

Fun fact: I am unable to hear the phrase "Let my people go" without thinking of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Ye Olde Rivalry....

We respect Emmy award winning Team Baldwin for his prestigious acting career. Not many actors can say they have done what Mr. Baldwin has achieved. However, some would have you believe that Team Baldwin is somehow infallible. They will look over grievous errors or pretend that these infamous follies never occurred. Team Baldwin is rampant with excuses.

Over here on Team Krasinski, we're not in it for the awards, yet we give an honest performance every time. When you see Krasinski perform, you know that even when there are errors (because he doesn't pretend to be perfect) he'll learn from them and move on.

It's not about the game, it's about the love of the game.

(Thanks to fellow Team Krasinski friend Sarah for finding this. Go Sox! It's still early.)

Angry Cake

What a shame this cake was wasted on a mere 6-year-old.

Pulp Muppets

Just something silly for a Wednesday morning.

I think Beaker is my favorite, but watch out for special guest Alf at about 1:10 - it's quick!

If you see only one Predator musical this spring...

Not since Dracula's Lament  has a musical number stuck so strongly in my mind (Well, there's "Day Man" from Always Sunny, but I don't have a You Tube clip for that one.)

I can't believe they're still wasting time trying to get Spiderman back on stage when such genius is right under our noses.

Thanks to unwitting contributor Simon Pegg for the link.

(PS - There are also musical numbers for Conan the Barbarian, Rambo, and Terminator 2 available. High fives all around!)

Responsible Parenting

It's about time we're able to talk about this in a calm and constructive way.

Thanks to Jax and a random mutual Facebook friend for finding this.

That's So Classic Superman

I'm a sucker for hand drawn animation and this is a really wonderful short cartoon. Perfect balance of new and old.

Epic Over Eating...

You know that feeling you got when you watched Super Size Me and you thought to yourself "I may eat badly, but at least it's not THAT bad!"? Well this takes over eating and spins it right back into a win.

I actually can't pick just one of his videos, so here are a couple of my favorites.

For those of you with a sweet tooth:

For the Meat Lover:

For the vegetarian:
...I'm just kidding. Vegetables will never be epic.

Play it safe for the Holidays...

I'm been telling people for years that just because it's the Holidays, doesn't mean you should let your guard done. Thanks to the ladies of Team Unicorn, here are some quick tips on remaining diligent.

Happy Holidays! And check your loved ones for bite marks!!

2010 Movie Mash up!

Usually I am not a fan of mash up's, but this one is done extremely well, especially since it includes 270 movies. All from 2010.

Check out this link to view all of the movies in order of appearance:

Apparently, it's NOT acting...

Either Nic Cage is SUPER METHOD or he is not actually trying very hard in those movies of his...

Cage got into a screaming fight with a friend on a street in Romania, and thanks to a wonderful passerby with a cell phone camera, we get to witness it! Unfortunately, the video is pretty dark and difficult to understand, and the captions appear to be in Romanian. However, it's fun to watch as Nic yells something about being a f***ing retard, thinking they were brothers, and finally declares, "I will DIE in the name of honor!"

All that's missing is an explosion and maybe John Travolta.

Equating Voice Volume with Acting...

We all love to make fun of him. We all secretly hope a conversation will turn just so we can shout "How'd it get burned!? How'd it get burned!?". In this one video, they've managed to truly capture the essence of Nicolas Cage's full on crazy.

To see the film list go see our friends at Pajiba here.

Do I need to say it's not safe for work? You'd all know that right?

Thanks to Stacey for finding this one and thanks, of course, to Nic. Send my love to Kal-el.

Evil has never tasted so good.

Despite the nerdy theme, this is a pretty fun YouTube Channel.

Also, I was a geek when I was her age, but not nearly as cool. How times have changed for the geek.

24 English Accents

A long video, but truly entertaining the entire time. I have a feeling this kid is not a one hit you tube wonder. Enjoy!

Let's get you in the mood...

...for the Halloween season.

Extremely fun mash up. Angus would approve.

Pushing the internet to even greater heights

I'm an admitted fan of mash-ups. And while in many cases the end result of combining two turds is simply a larger, grosser turd, sometimes rearranging things in unexpected ways can make magic.

Take Tube Dubber, for instance.  A mash-up tool that amazingly takes YouTube to an even stranger place.  It allows you to combine the video track of any YouTube clip with the audio track of another.

How is this helpful, you might ask?  Well, I mentioned magic earlier.  What happens if I combine a popular movie about magic with the preeminent song about magic?  Even more magic, right?  The answer: some surprisingly badass yet expectedly stupid teen wizards.  So yes – it’s more magical.

I’ve also discovered that Tube Dubber is capable of cranking the crazy level of YouTube upwards, past 11, and screaming into to the lower stratosphere.  By combining two elements commonly accepted as nuts – Japanese games shows and William Shatner – I created something so insane that it appears almost normal.  It may in fact have gone full circle through our plane of reality, rendering its components sane while leaving us mentally shattered.

The possibilities are endless.  I can combine two things at random – say, two suave dudes like Don Draper and Bruce Campbell – and create something even more suaver than the sum of its parts.  Or I can take an awesome movie trailer – like “9” – and use it to enhance another movie that needs some help being more awesome.   This thing is literally an “awesome enhancer”.

Again, most times crap + crap = more crap.  But sometimes there is beauty in the juxtaposition of random things.  A whimsy in the gestalt.

Or, we could all just be going batshit insane
